"Home
Study"
Volunteer instructors, certified through the Oklahoma Department of
Wildlife Conservation, provide this FREE course. At H&H we offer
the “Home Study” version of the course.

The Home Study
version or independent study, allows the students to complete ½
of the course at his/her own pace. The 8-hour course covers
firearms handling, safety, game laws, survival, muzzle loading,
bow hunting, wildlife management, conservation, hunter ethics,
hunter responsibility, and survival. Students receive 4-hours
credit for completing a workbook and then must attend a 4-hour
workshop, followed by a 50 question, multiple choice test.
-
To
successfully complete the course, students must completely fill
out the Workbook, attend the Workshop and score 70% or better on
the Hunter Education Safety Test. Upon successful completion of
the course students will receive their Oklahoma Hunter Education
Safety Card.
-
Pick up the “Home Study” Student Workbook, Student Guide and
copy of the State Hunting Regulations at H&H. The workbook
must be completely filled out before you turn it in.

least 24 hours prior to the workshop to register for a workshop. Please
fill out and turn in a “Student Information Sheet” when registering
