Constitutional Class

To say we live in amazing times is
no understatement. To that end we are going to hold a very
special gathering for those who want to learn from one of the
finest intellects on the subject, Don M. Powers. Starting this
next Tuesday March 9th at 6:00 P.M. we will be
hosting a class on the US Constitution and it will run every
Tuesday through April 13th, for a total of six
sessions. Lasting about an hour an a half and will composed of
lecture and discussion. Don Powers is a partner with his wife,
Dr. G. Kay Powers, in their law firm, Powers At Law, LLC. They
have been in practice in Edmond for more than nine years. In
January, 2010, Powers At Law, LLC, was selected as The Small
Business of the Year by the Edmond Area Chamber of Commerce.
Don teaches this Constitutional Component in the community for
those who want to know more about the Constitution and what our
Founders thought and we are indeed honored to have him at H &
H. The class material is from the book “The 5000 Year Leap” by
W. Cleon Skousen. A Constitutional Scholar with the National
Center for Constitutional Studies. Dr. Skousen was one of its
founders. The class will address the structure of the
Constitution, the religious foundations, the 28 principles of
freedom the Founders considered important and which are embodied
in the document. Mixed in with this information will be little
facts about the Constitutional Convention and the Revolutionary
War. We can vouch for the quality of the information contained.
As much as possible the Founders own words are used to describe
what they considered relative to each of the 28 principles of
freedom.
The end result
for a person who attends the entire program is a deeper
appreciation for the Constitution and the need to preserve our
Liberty through re-establishing the Constitution as the guide
for American government. There is no charge for the program but
seating is limited to the capacity of our safari meeting room.
Be at the range about 30 minutes early to check in and we look
forward to seeing you there.
